Feel like you've arrived at a place you can call home from the moment you walk through the door.
This 4* Luxury Barn sleeps 10 people in comfort.
The open plan living space downstairs is the perfect layout to let people interact together, or do their own thing.
A hearty meal after a day of exploring the area, or relaxing in the super quiet solitude of Penrhyn really puts the icing on the cake of any break.
There's nothing better than sitting down for dinner and spending some quality time with your friends and family. Our open plan layout means you can socialise with the cook, whilst our fully stocked kitchen haswith everything you may need to whip up your favourite meals for you and your guests.
Venture into town and pick up a lovely joint of meat and a choice bottle of wine, you'll find the setting an excellent space for you to enjoy your meal.
And when you're done, light the woodburner and relax - listening the fire roar as you settle down for some conversation, maybe a board game or listen to the children recount their adventures of the day.
“Good bread is the most fundamentally satisfying of all foods; and good bread with fresh butter, the greatest of feasts.”
Penrhyn Barn was renovated to a high specification specifically for our guests enjoyment.
The windows face out onto the river, which when open you can hear the tumbling rush of the river beneath – which is so much more impactful in a space with no noise pollution. The rushing river seems to have a calming effect on the soul- just the sight of it calms us.
The Barn sleeps up to 10 people comfortably, and has enough bathrooms and washing facilities so that groups of walkers returning from a lovely stroll can jump in for a refresh, without having to wait long.
There are four shower/bath rooms altogether, both up and down stairs.
Four bathrooms mean you no queues in the morning, or after an exciting day out in the elements. All the bathrooms have heated towel rails, so the large fluffy towels can get charged up with extra coziness for that moment you step out of the bath/shower.
The main bathroom boasts views from the bath with floor to ceilings panoramic views of the Cambrian Mountains. Plus in this bathroom we are able to offer a jacuzzi bath. So grab a book, maybe a glass of wine and soak up the views and relaxation from this little corner of the barn.
We are also pleased to offer a downstairs disabled access bathroom and bedroom.
We hope you enjoy the warm and welcoming space, relax next to your fully stocked wood burning stove, eat together on our extra large banqueting table…brilliant for those hearty family or group meals.
"And the snow that fell onto the roof in winter... it fell softly... softly... and it covered the house, the armchair, the books, the children's voices. It covered Anna and Abel, covered their parallel world, and everything was finally, very, very quiet."
Our horse live just next to the barn, they are super friendly, and like nothing more than to pop their heads out to say hello to children - who love them!!
Tess the sheep dog is our extra special welcome dog. She is extremely friendly, soft and loving. She’s not over exuberant, and is absolutely safe around children. She seems to instinctively know when to say hello, and when to give some space. If you invite her for a stroke of her back, she’ll succumb!
Please let us know if you or your guests are a little nervous around dogs, and we’ll keep her around the other side of the farm. She’s happy either way!
You also have access to a separate Laundry room, just next to the barn so you can separate any dirty clothing you may have, before entering the barn to relax.
